“Strong Ground”
The Lessons of Daring Leadership, The Tenacity of Paradox, and the Wisdom of the Human Spirit: Brene Brown’s latest masterful piece on how leadership has evolved and her lessons and metaphors are incredible to inspire us to evolve as well! My favorite is about how leadership is both plumbing and poetry! You must read this if you aspire to be a better leader in any role you take on in life!!
"Think Again"
The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know “Let go of knowledge and opinions that are no longer serving you well. Anchor your sense of self in FLEXIBILITY rather than CONSISTENCY” This book is one that I read TWICE and can't wait to share more insights on our podcast. Listen to the intro podcast and you will want to keep listening and read more!
"Speak Data"
Artists, Scientists, Thinkers and Dreamers on How We Live Our Lives in Numbers: Wow! So I consider myself a "numbers guy" - my profession is all about numbers and data as Senior Director of Quality in healthcare. But this book helps us understand the meaning we give to numbers and data and the power of the stories we can tell with the data we collect! Truly fascinating shift in mindset...
"More Beautiful Than Before"
"How Suffering Transforms Us" - This is one of my favorite books! Of course it is! That's why it's here! The lessons in this book are profound and somewhat paradoxical. The sentence that sticks with me and hopefully inspires you to listen to our podcast episode of this book and to even pick up the book and read it is this: “The lessons pain comes to teach us are the tools that can repair and save our very lives and souls.”
"Be Where Your Feet Are"
This book allows the reader to practice some of the principles while embracing the mindset of being more mindful. The "Assume Positive Intent" episode of RHRN teaches us some simple yet difficult to follow practices. Stay tuned for the "What's Most Important" quick hit episode where I share my purpose in what's most important in my life.
